The operator at Port Moresby Radio (not myself) was working small ships
on the morning sked when he received a call from a small coaster with a
local skipper. The POM operator couldn't understand the caller and asked
"Small ship calling Port Moresbey Radio, say again your name"... "Portmoresbyradio
this is mumble mumble mumble" ... "Small ship calling Port Moresby Radio,
please say again your name, you are muffled"... Same reply and this went
on for another minute or two... Finally the small ship reply "Portmoresbyradio
my name is Lahui"... Long pregnant pause.... "No, not YOUR bloody name,
your bloody ship's name!!!"....
